The Mack Pinnacle CXU is a Class 8 premium long-haul conventional truck that served as Mack's flagship OTR tractor from 2008 to 2017, when it was succeeded by the Mack Anthem. The 2017 model is powered by the Mack MP8 diesel engine producing up to 505 hp and 1,860 lb-ft of torque. GVWR reaches 80,000 lbs with GCWR of 220,000 lbs. Sleeper configurations range from 48 to 70 inches. The Pinnacle features Mack's mDRIVE 12-speed or mDRIVE HD 14-speed automated transmissions, a set-back front axle configuration for weight distribution, and Mack's GuardDog Connect remote diagnostics.
